Z group is not authorized by the Financial Conduct Authority of the UK to conduct regulated activities under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA) but are included on the register of exempt professional firms maintained by the Financial Conduct Authority so as to permit the carrying on of certain regulated activities such as insurance mediation (which is broadly the advising on, selling and administration of insurance contracts) as an incidental part of our normal professional services. The Law Society is our designated professional body for the purposes of FSMA. Z group is licensed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is able to offer a limited range of investment services to clients if they are incidental and / or complementary to, or arise out of, the other professional services they have been engaged to provide.
For investor protection, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales administers, and the firm contributes to, a compensation scheme for clients who might need to seek redress.
We want to give you the best possible service. However, if at any point you become unhappy with the service we have provided to you or you have concerns about your bill then you should inform us immediately so that we can do our best to resolve the problem for you.
We have a procedure in place which details how we handle complaints which is available on request. We have eight weeks to consider your complaint. If we are unable to help you, then you can have the complaint independently looked at by the Legal Ombudsman.
The Legal Ombudsman can investigate complaints up to six years from the date of the problem happening or within three years of when you found out about the problem. If you wish to refer your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman this must be done within six months of our final response to your complaint. Do not send original documents to the Legal Ombudsman. They will scan any documents you send us to make computer copies and then destroy the originals.
